A Very AMAZING Announcement

Journal Entry: Sun Oct 5, 2008, 4:24 PM
I need to pee.

Well... not really. I do have the urge, but that's not what this lovely journal is about (thank goodness!).

I have decided to quit being lazy and start favving stuff I like. So, I will start with the visual stuff first since it is faster than writings.

I feel proud of myself for this new goal. Since I got on here, I always felt bad that I haven't favved anything (except my id) and yet people favved my stuff.

But it shall now change, so prepare for countless (er, or maybe not) quantities of favorites from your truly! :boogie:

Howl's Moving Castle

Journal Entry: Tue Sep 30, 2008, 2:29 PM
Sorry for the silence nad lack of deviation everyone. School is keeping up with me and won't bug off! Leave me alone! :cries: Well, actually it's fine, but still! =)

Yesterday I finished Howl's Moving Castle. It was quite enjoyable, though I am very mad at the movie now, due to all the big changes. Oh well.

It was so good, I read it within five hours. This could be for several reasons. One, it was plain out good. Two, it was a noncheesy romance. And three, Calcifer the fire demon is awesome.

Seriously, though, I was surprised to find that it was written by one of my favorite authors - Diane Wynne Jones. She wrote the awesome time/dimension warping story Hexwood. And, I was even more amazed to find that Howl has two sequels, the first of which I am reading right now.

So, there's my ever vague review of the... well, there's another review of some sort of media. ;) Enjoy!

Video Ventures

Journal Entry: Wed Sep 24, 2008, 7:54 PM
I tend to have very random urges and wants at very odd times. The past week, I have especially been craving a video camera... because then I could record all my conversations and laugh at them later.

But, I should rant about that later. Not now. Today, in one of my classes, I experienced the biggest putdown of my life. Well, maybe not, but I couldn't believe the ignorance of the two who were insulting me.

One of my classes had a strange way of getting vocabulary words today. Everyone in a group had different words, and we all passed them around (not my recommended way, it takes far too long).

I needed two other sets of words, and instead of letting me have them, the two girls who had them refused, their reason being that I was caucasian and not hispanic like themselves.

Now, I hate prejudice of any sort, and I have grown up with the relaization that people of different cultures and races actually can be friends, so I was quite peeved by this. :shakefist:

But, this has been my only down this week, so I feel extremely lucky! :w00t:

Hooray Day!

Journal Entry: Mon Sep 22, 2008, 3:35 PM
So sorry I haven't been submitting lately, I feel so horrible, but these past seven days have been perfectly awesome! :bounce:

For one, I tried rock climbing on a wall on Friday, and it was fun though I didn't make it to the top because I was scared of coming down. ^^; That same night my friend introduced me to the wonderful world of Monk. First good crime show I have ever seen!

I've also been revising my star story like crazy. I'm quite impressed by the results, as it is about ten times as good as it was before.

:iconfurrydanceplz: And, and, and... I finally gots myself a sweetheart! Which means I shall not be celibate my entire life, and that I indeed possess the abilities to romantically attract people. Go me!

The only down is that... I'm having issues with one point prspective in my drawing class. All class on Thursday, I was staring and staring and staring at the hall we were supposed to draw, and even when the teacher showed me what to do, I couldn't do it! :shakefist:

It bugs, but I do really well with two point perspective, so that is half of the concept down!

That's basically all I have to entertain you guys with today, so hopefully this is at least half as interesting as myself! =)

Success

Journal Entry: Mon Sep 15, 2008, 7:14 PM
So, two days since the writer's conference ended. And it was great! I learned so much there in all the workshops, and from other writers as well. Plus, I got some awesome new books on writing, and I was able to do the first part of my revising my story while there, so I am on a roll!

And... the great news - I am offically networking with published authors that I know personally. They are all really talented and great people to hang around with, seeing as my group of friends is all in there.

I just feel really great about my writing. One guy took my story's first draft during lunch, hande it back, and told me it had a lot of promise once I spruced it up. I didn't learn till later that night he was a national selling author. Since then I have been on cloud nine.

I'm just so happy that I went. I wouldn't have got even a quarter of new knowledge if I let that wretched cold get the best of me. Anyway, I won't go into detail, but it was awesome!.. Though I missed you all while I was gone! =D
